Job Opening and Description:
Full-time position as the Executive Director for the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture (NFB Foundation for Ag) to provide the overall direction and management for this newly-created entity.
This position will manage a staff to oversee fund development, marketing and outreach efforts on behalf of the Foundation. Expectations will be based on building value, capacity and cohesion between the Foundation and Farm Bureau networks surrounding education, ag literacy and fundraising activities to advance the mission of the Foundation. The mission of the NFB Foundation for Agriculture is to generate financial resources and partnerships to build awareness, understanding and a positive public perception of agriculture through education and leadership development.
Primary responsibilities for this position would be overseeing the fundraising efforts of the Foundation which includes a focus on sustaining current contributors support while cultivating new corporate, foundation and individual giving opportunities. Other related duties would be managing and delegating fundraising events, outreach and education efforts, collaboration with related Farm Bureau departments and coordinate and supervise annual meeting and quarterly board meetings. This position will also serve on the Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation management team.
Five years of experience is preferred in relationship building, fund and sponsorship development and applicants should have an extensive contact network within Nebraska agriculture, agri-business and ag service sectors.
B.A. or B.S. degree in Agriculture or Business or related field is preferred.
