Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation PAC Names Roric Paulman ‘Friend of Agriculture’
LINCOLN, NEB. – Roric Paulman of Sutherland has been named a “Friend of Agriculture” by NFBF-PAC, Nebraska Farm Bureau’s political action committee.
Paulman is a candidate for election to represent District 42 in the Nebraska Legislature.
“As a farmer, Roric understands first-hand Nebraska agriculture and how it is affected by state policies and regulations. For agriculture and rural Nebraska, it is critical to have people like Roric elected to the legislature that know agriculture and the important economic role it plays in rural communities,” said Mark McHargue of Central City, chairman of NFBF-PAC and first vice president of Nebraska Farm Bureau.
“At the same time, Roric has a breadth of experience from serving on a local hospital board, a rural fire district board and others and can represent the citizens of District 42 on many fronts,” McHargue said.
According to McHargue, Paulman has been active in water issues and can bring a wealth of knowledge to the Unicameral on the issue.
“Roric has been a leader in adopting new technologies and management practices to more effectively manage water on the farm,” said McHargue. “His expertise will help the legislature make wise policy decisions on one of the more important issues for the future of the state.”
Farm Bureau’s “Friend of Agriculture” designation is given to selected candidates for public office based on their commitment to and positions on agricultural issues, qualifications, previous experience, communication abilities and their ability to represent the district. The designation of Paulman came after a local forum in North Platte and the recommendation of the Lincoln County Farm Bureau.
