Mark McHargue - 1st Vice President

Mark McHargue is a fourth-generation farmer from Central City. He and his wife Judi have four children. They raise irrigated corn and popcorn and own a farrow-to-finish hog operation. He has a passion for agriculture and modifies his farming practices often to capture the newest technologies in a quest for higher yields and better efficiencies on the farm.
McHargue is a past Merrick County Farm Bureau president and has been in leadership capacities for more than 15 years in Nebraska Farm Bureau. He currently serves as first vice president of Nebraska Farm Bureau. He is an active member of the Nebraska Pork Producers Association and serves on the National Pork Board’s Speakers Bureau.
McHargue attended Grace University in Omaha. He is active in his community and serves on various boards. He is chairman of Nebraska Christian Schools and is an elder at Heartland Evangelical Free Church. Mark and Judi are members of the National Angelman Syndrome Foundation, which advocates on behalf of those who have no speech, such as their daughter Charis, who has been diagnosed with Angelman syndrome.
Charis is an eighth grader at Central City School. The McHargues’ other children are Rachel, a junior at Nebraska Christian School; Andrew and his wife, Emily; and Jordan and his wife, Janae. Mark enjoys spending time at the lake with family members, tubing and wake-boarding and reading books on leadership and personal development.
