Nebraska Farm Bureau gave out more than 5,000 sno cones at their booth to show attendees. Members who attended Husker Harvest Days were also rewarded with a pair of leather gloves. 4-H and FFA youth received a pair of neon colored sunglasses to thank them for keeping the future bright for Nebraska agriculture.
While at the show, Farm Bureau worked promote their work to prevent LB 405/406 which would have placed sales taxes on agriculture equipment and inputs. This work was highlighted in a display featuring model farm toys from Case IH
, Cheif Industries
, Valley Irrigation and Hoegemeyer Hybrids. All of the toy donations will be auctioned off at the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture's Inaugural Dinner
to benefit agriculture promotion and education across the state.
Husker Harvest Days ran Sept. 10-12 in Grand Island and is the World’s Largest Totally Irrigated Working Farm Show and features the most extensive state-of-the-art information and technology available for today’s agricultural producers. The 2014 Husker Harvest Days will be held Sept. 9-11, 2014.
