Hi this is Nebraska Farm Bureau's Ag News Now Radio Service, I’m Tina
Henderson.

Now here is today’s Farm Bureau
View program it is coming to you in 3…2…1…

The report runs 2:56.

The
White House strategy to pursue a selective extension of expiring tax breaks
only for the middle class could endanger key tax priorities for agriculture
according to a top American Farm Bureau Federation official. Here to talk more
about this topic is American Farm Bureau’s Mark Maslyn.

Mark thanks for joining me on today’s program!

Question 1                     Mark your concerned is
centered not just that

biofuels
and estate tax breaks could be sacrificed on the altar of election politics -
but that languishing free trade deals and Cuba trade reform will lose. Over all
politics and good economics don’t mix.

Cut
#1  :27 O.C…”producers and
manufacturers.”

Question 2                     The U.S. is losing market
share in

Colombia
and South Korea - as U.S. competitors ratify their own deals with those
nations. But the whole issue of losing critical biofuels jobs with the lapse of
the biodesel credit and possible loss of ethanol tax breaks January 1st
is just as upsetting.

Cut
#2        :17   O.C…”sources of energy.”

Question 3                     Through inaction and
dysfunction - there is real

concern
over whether Congress will renew biofuels tax incentives - creating big
uncertainty in a secret already reeling from thousands of biodiesel job losses.

And
now - at the end of July - with maybe 20 or so legislative days left before the
elections - Congress still hasn’t resolved the estate tax , which set to return
full force in January. Mark Your thoughts

Cut
#3        :28  O.C…”out the other end.”

Mark
thanks for joining me!
