    Nebraska Farm Bureau Says Federal Dietary Guidelines Should Focus on Nutrition, Not Environment
    The Nebraska Farm Bureau says the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Dietary Guidelines for Americans should continue to focus on nutritional science rather than environmental issues.

    Bringing the Next Generation Back to the Farm
    Livestock has been a big part of the Seward County Farm Bureau members Paul and Deb Segner’s family operation throughout three generations. They grow crops and raise pigs near Friend, Nebraska. In 2006 they built their first hog barn to custom feed pigs under a contract arrangement. The success of the first barn led to a second in 2008.

    Sarah Wollenburg of Gage County Farm Bureau is a freshman at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, majoring in agricultural education-teaching option and minoring in agronomy and entrepreneurship and leadership.
