Farm Bankruptcies Down
Farm bankruptcies filed in Nebraska through the third quarter of 2022 numbered 8 compared to 13 filings for the same period in 2021 (Figure 5). farm bankruptcy filing has slowed markedly since peaking in 2019 and will likely end 2022 below the 21-year average of 20 filings a year. Again, further evidence of healthy financial conditions in Nebraska agriculture.
