NEFB to Legislature: Broadband Critical to Agriculture, Rural Nebraska

According the Federal Communications Commission, 39 percent of Americans in rural areas lack access to high-speed, high-quality internet service. Nebraska Farm Bureau President Mark McHargue reiterated the importance of broadband to agriculture and rural Nebraska this week in offering support for LB 388, a proposal calling on the legislature to invest $40 million over the next two years to increase high end broadband for individuals in unserved and underserved areas of the state.
