REMINDER: For Livestock Producers
With extreme cold and adverse weather conditions bringing the potential for livestock related losses, the Farm Service Agency is reminding farmers and ranchers to make sure they document their inventory and take photos/video before, during, and after the storms. The documentation is important for participating in USDA’s Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP) designed to provide benefits to livestock deaths caused by adverse weather.
