LINCOLN, NEB. – “Today’s announcement by Gov. Ricketts of a settlement regarding water use in the Republican River basin between Nebraska and Colorado is a “win” for Nebraska farmers in the Republican River basin. The settlement brings much needed stability for farmers looking for certainty surrounding future water use in the basin.”
“We applaud the collaborative efforts of both states to address past issues and to work together, putting both parties’ interests on a better path for shared water use. We thank Gov. Ricketts, Attorney General Doug Peterson, and Nebraska State Director of Natural Resources Jeff Fassett for their work.”
