Nebraska Farm Bureau Connects with FFA Students

I believe in the future of agriculture. Not only the FFA Creed but also a driver for Nebraska Farm Bureau (NEFB). NEFB was a sponsor for the Nebraska State FFA Convention held in Lincoln, March 29-31. The event brings thousands of FFA students and advisors from across the state together to participate in general sessions, competitive events, educational tours, leadership workshops, and Career Fair and Expo.

It also provided an opportunity for NEFB to connect with the next generation of agricultural leaders. NEFB maintained a booth at the FFA Expo and shared with students the opportunities available to them with Farm Bureau, including scholarships, project grants, and student memberships.

Nebraska Farm Bureau was also a sponsor of the 2023 Ag Issues Academy with Douglas County Farm Bureau member Brady Revels facilitating the program. Thirty students participated in learning assignments and a half-day of in person meeting where they heard from speakers and participated in activities.

Following their retiring address, NEFB presented each State FFA Officer with a photo plaque, retiring state officer pin, and letter signed by NEFB President Mark McHargue. The Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation recognized FFA chapters who completed the Connecting Chapters program this school year and awarded the FFA Advisor of the Year.
