Nebraska Farm Bureau PAC Names Robert Clements “Friend of Agriculture”
LINCOLN, NEB. – Robert Clements of Elmwood has been designated a “Friend of Agriculture” by NEFB-PAC, Nebraska Farm Bureau’s political action committee. Clements is seeking election to the District 2 seat in the Nebraska Legislature.
“Since being appointed to the Legislature, Robert has demonstrated a strong appreciation for the importance of agriculture. He understands the property tax burden faced by farmers and ranchers in Nebraska and has a keen understanding of the importance of our livestock industry. He’s been a supporter of reducing regulatory burdens to promote growth of our state’s livestock sector,” said Mark McHargue of Central City, chairman of NEFB-PAC and first vice president of Nebraska Farm Bureau.
One of Nebraska Farm Bureau’s priorities is expanding high-speed internet access to rural areas of the state. Clements has been supportive of working to reduce barriers to rural broadband deployment.
“We are proud to offer our support for Robert Clements as he seeks election to continue representing District 2 in the Legislature,” said McHargue.
Nebraska Farm Bureau’s “Friend of Agriculture” designation is given to selected candidates for public office based on their commitment to and positions on agricultural issues, qualifications, previous experience, communication abilities, and their ability to represent their district.
