In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. the Alliance for the Future of Agriculture in Nebraska (A-FAN) is offering grants of up to $4,000 to Nebraska food pantries for the acquisition of freezers and refrigerators. Due to the stress of coronavirus the demand on food pantries has skyrocketed while at the same time dairy producers have had to dump milk due to market disruptions. The grants will help food pantries create cold storage for donated milk and other cold stored products. The Nebraska Farm Bureau is a founding member and director of the A-FAN organization.
