Greeneye Technology, an Israel-based company, announced its first dedicated sales agreement in the U.S. with Boeck Seed Services in Exeter, Nebraska. Under the agreement, Boeck will sell and service Greeneye’s retrofit sprayer application system to existing sprayers . . . Nebraska feedlots, with capacities of 1,000 or more head, held 2.51 million cattle on feed on May 1 according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), down 1 percent from last year. Nebraska is still the second-largest cattle feeding state behind Texas . . . NASS also reports Nebraska egg production during April totaled 203 million eggs, up 22 million from 2023 . . . The USDA Economic Research Service projects the U.S. will run a trade deficit in agricultural goods of $32 billion for the fiscal year ending September 30 . . . A Reuters review of USDA data shows almost no corn farmers used all three practices—no-till, cover crops, and higher efficiency fertilizers—to qualify ethanol for credits as sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in 2023 and 2024 as required by the Biden administration.
