Members Shown Appreciation at Sandhills Ranch Expo and Roughstock Challenge 

Nebraska Farm Bureau hit the road this week for the annual Sandhills Ranch Expo and Roughstock Challenge Rodeo. After visiting farmers and ranchers at the expo, a member appreciation event was held in conjunction with the Young Farmers and Ranchers social. 

Deadline to Protest Property Valuation Approaching 

If you think the assessed value for your house, farmstead, or real estate is too high, you can file a protest with the county clerk’s office. This can be done in person, by mail or, in some counties,  online and must be submitted in triplicate, signed, dated, and postmarked by June 30. Use our checklist to walk through the process.

In this week’s Policy Watch, Nebraska Farm Bureau hosts a farm bill listening session with all five members of Nebraska’s Congressional Delegation, farmers along the Missouri River secure a court victory, and the American Farm Bureau Federation signed a memorandum of understanding with CLAAS of America, providing even more farmers and ranchers the right to repair their own farm equipment.
