Deadline Changes – Prevent Planting
Nebraska Farm Service Agency has extended the deadline for producers to report their spring prevented plant crop acres to the agency.
Nebraska producers now have until July 15 to report FSA acres they intended to plant to crops this spring but could not do so because of weather conditions. In addition, Farmers who planted cover crops on prevented plan acres will be able to hay, graze or chop those fields earlier than November as USDA’s Risk Management Agency (RMA) has adjusted the 2019 final haying and grazing date from November 1 to September 1 to help farmers who were prevented from planting because of flooding and excess rainfall this spring.
