Nebraska Farm Bureau-PAC Names Dan Hughes “Friend of Agriculture”
LINCOLN, NEB. – Dan Hughes of Venango has been designated a “Friend of Agriculture” by Nebraska Farm Bureau’s political action committee, (NEFB-PAC). Hughes is seeking re-election to the District 44 seat in the Nebraska Legislature.
“Dan has worked hard to represent the interests of his district in the Legislature. As a farmer, he understands the challenges Nebraska farm and ranch families face and has provided a voice for agriculture and rural Nebraska,” said Mark McHargue of Central City, chairman of NEFB-PAC and first vice president of Nebraska Farm Bureau.
As Chair of the Natural Resources Committee, and as a member of the Transportation and Telecommunications Committee, Hughes has dealt with many issues key to agriculture, ranging from management of water resources to working to improve broadband service for rural areas of the state.
“We appreciate his service and are happy to offer our support for Dan Hughes as he seeks election to continue representing District 44 in the Legislature,” said McHargue.
Nebraska Farm Bureau’s “Friend of Agriculture” designation is given to selected candidates for public office based on their commitment to and positions on agricultural issues, qualifications, previous experience, communication abilities, and their ability to represent their district.
