Nebraska Farm Bureau-PAC Names Tom Brandt “Friend of Agriculture”
LINCOLN, NEB. – Tom Brandt of Plymouth has been designated a “Friend of Agriculture” by Nebraska Farm Bureau-PAC (NEFB-PAC), Nebraska Farm Bureau’s political action committee. Brandt is seeking to represent Legislative District 32 in the Nebraska Legislature.
“As a farmer and livestock feeder, Tom Brandt has a strong understanding of the challenges that face agriculture. It is important we have people in the Legislature who understand those challenges and can work to give agriculture a voice,” said Mark McHargue of Central City, chairman of NEFB-PAC and first vice president of Nebraska Farm Bureau.
According to McHargue, Brandt has also demonstrated a strong commitment to his rural community, serving on numerous boards and being active in several organizations, including a stint as president of the Plymouth Improvement Association.
“Not only will Tom Brandt bring an agriculture perspective to the Legislature, but he can provide a rural perspective as the Legislature works on issues of statewide importance,” said McHargue. “All of these make him an outstanding choice to represent the people of District 32.”
Nebraska Farm Bureau’s “Friend of Agriculture” designation is given to selected candidates for public office based on their commitment to and positions on agricultural issues, qualifications, previous experience, communication abilities, and their ability to represent their district.
