Vietnam Growing Market for Nebraska Farmers
Nebraska Farm Bureau President Steve Nelson is in Vietnam this week as part of Governor Pete Ricketts trade mission to the country. Vietnam is a growing market for Nebraska agricultural products.
Nebraska is the largest U.S. supplier of soybean meal and dry edible beans to the nation. Nebraska is also the third largest U.S. supplier of beef, with Nebraska beef exports to Vietnam growing by 127 percent from 2017 to 2018. In 2017, Vietnam also opened its market to U.S. shipments of dried distillers’ grains. The delegation is focusing on promotion of Nebraska ag products and pitching Nebraska as top destination for international investment.
