The Common Sense Nebraska coalition shared their disappointment with the Biden administration’s announced plan to repeal and replace former President Trump’s Navigable Water Protection rule (NWPR). The comments were submitted as part of an official comment period which serves as the first in a series of steps the Biden administration is undertaking to again redefine what constitutes “Waters of the United States.”

Leadership Academy Gets Up Close with Florida Agriculture

The Cadets of the Nebraska Farm Bureau Leadership Academy got hands-on with different types of agriculture in Florida this week. They met farmers who utilize greenhouses to grow blueberries and other plants, learned about harvesting rice and sugar cane, and toured a produce packing facility. They also got to know some Florida Farm Bureau members from different areas of the state.

Fifth Grade Students from Northeast Nebraska Gather at Ag Festival

More than 200 fifth graders from across Northeast Nebraska are now more knowledgeable about agriculture after attending the Growing Potential Ag Festival held at the Cedar County Fairgrounds in Hartington, Neb. Students visited learning stations to engage on every aspect of agriculture, including careers, livestock, planting and harvest, ethanol, land stewardship, and how corn is used in everyday life.
