NPPD Chair, Barry DeKay Receives Nebraska Farm Bureau-PAC Endorsement

LINCOLN, NEB. – The Nebraska Farm Bureau’s Political Action Committee (NEFB-PAC) has endorsed Barry DeKay in his bid for re-election to serve as the Subdivision 2 representative on the Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) Board of Directors. DeKay was first elected to the NPPD Board in 2015 and currently serves as NPPD Board Chair.

“Barry has a long history of service to Nebraskans in the public power arena. He held several leadership positions with the Nebraska Rural Electric Association before being elected to serve on the NPPD Board. More importantly, he understands the importance of keeping electricity and power affordable for Nebraskans, including Nebraska’s farm and ranch families,” said Mark McHargue of Central City, chairman of NEFB-PAC and first vice president of Nebraska Farm Bureau. “We are excited to offer Barry DeKay our support in his bid for re-election and proud to count him among the candidates receiving the Nebraska Farm Bureau-PAC endorsement.”

Subdivision 2 consists of Boone, Boyd, Cedar, Garfield, Greeley, Holt, Howard, Keya Paha, Knox, Sherman, Valley, and Wheeler Counties.

The Nebraska Farm Bureau is a grassroots, state-wide organization dedicated to supporting farm and ranch families and working for the benefit of all Nebraskans through a wide variety of educational, service, and advocacy efforts.
