Nebraska Startups Succeed in Farm Bureau Ag Innovation Challenge
The American Farm Bureau Federation, in partnership with Farm Credit, announced finalists of the Ag Innovation Challenge on Oct. 5, 2021. Three of the ten finalists are Nebraska-based startups, all of whom are part of The Combine Incubator program based in Lincoln.
Farmers and ranchers can expect a bigger refundable credit on their income taxes this year; Nebraska Farm Bureau pushes for comprehensive tax reform, while finding solutions to the overreliance on property taxes to fund K-12 education; and continuing the five-year registration for dicamba is the focus of a letter to the EPA. Nebraska Farm Bureau Leaders Urge President Biden to Focus Efforts on Trade Policy
In a letter to President Joe Biden, the Nebraska Farm Bureau Board of Directors expressed concern over the lack of progress on a number of key trade policy areas including ongoing concerns with China, expanding other international marketing opportunities, and preserving the integrity of the World Trade Organization (WTO), while still pushing for needed reforms.
