Nebraska (FSA) is implementing two programs in areas of the state impacted by ongoing drought conditions. Both the Livestock Forage Disaster Program and CRP Emergency Haying and Grazing have triggered based on conditions shown on the U.S. Drought Monitor. Contact your local FSA office before acting.

Cattle and Climate Focus of Upcoming Lecture

Myth Busting: Cattle and Climate, A Discussion on Nebraska’s Livestock Environmental Footprint. That’s the topic for the next Heuermann Lecture Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m. CT. The lecture, featuring keynote speaker Frank Mitloehner and panelists Colin Woodall, Larry Quint, and Galen Erickson, is hosted by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
