The University of Nebraska Extension and the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) are planning a series of Farm Bill education meetings in late November through December to assist producers as they begin to make farm bill related decisions.
The meetings will be held in Bridgeport beginning November 22 and end in Mead on December 3. Other meeting sites include Red Cloud, Imperial, Lexington, and Bloomfield. Changes to the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs will be discussed along with decisions which need to be made by producers when enrolling. Producers have until March 15, 2020, to enroll in the farm programs for crop years 2019 and 2020. For more information on the meetings go to www.farmbill.edu or www.fas.usda.gov/ne.
