Statement by Steve Nelson, President, Regarding House Vote on United States-Mexico-Canada-Agreement (USMCA)

LINCOLN, NEB. – “Today’s vote in the House moves us one step closer to bringing much needed stability in our trade relations with two of our most important trade partners in Mexico and Canada. While this important vote was long overdue, it’s welcomed news in farm country.

We thank Congressman Fortenberry, Bacon, and Smith for their votes and support for USMCA. Securing USMCA is one of the top items on the “to-do” list for expanding markets for our homegrown agriculture products. We encourage the Senate to move swiftly to follow suit.”
