LINCOLN, NE – “We are disappointed the Senate failed to advance this compromise which would have created a voluntary federal GMO labeling standard that also preempts a damaging patchwork of state-by-state GMO Labeling laws. It is our hope that negotiations will continue and a final agreement will be reached before Congress adjourns for the Easter break. We thank Senators Deb Fischer and Ben Sasse for their vote to help avoid unnecessary grocery cost increases and allow for continued innovation in agriculture.”
