Bayer/Monsanto asked U.S. trade officials to impose tariffs ranging from 68.9%-446.47% on glyphosate imports from China. According to DTN reporter Chris Clayton, Bayer/Monsanto is the only U.S. manufacturer of glyphosate and produces roughly 60% of glyphosate sold in the U.S. . . .  Supporters of Initiative Petition 28 in Oregon have submitted more than the number of signatures needed to place it on the November ballot. The measure, if passed, would criminalize injuring or killing animals, including killing for food, hunting, and fishing, and breeding practices . . . Nebraska Public Media reported that staffing at Nebraska Farm Service Agency offices declined 13% over the past year . . . The USDA reported it had accepted 2.2 million acres into the Conservation Reserve Program for fiscal year 2026. Producers had submitted around 2.5 million acres for consideration, nearly 1 million of which were expiring acres and 1.5 million acres were new enrollment . . .
