County Farm Bureaus celebrate National Agriculture Week

County Farm Bureaus across Nebraska celebrated National Agriculture Week by partnering with the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation to bring agriculture into classrooms statewide. Below are photos of how the County Farm Bureaus celebrated agriculture locally. Thank you to all County Farm Bureau members who participated in the 2026 National Ag Week celebration.
Aliesha Meusch and Colleen Coufal, members of the Butler County Farm Bureau, read “Seasons on the Farm” to students at several schools in their county during National Ag Week. The schools included Bellwood, David City and Dwight elementary schools.
Nichole Popken of the Dodge County Farm Bureau visited Happy Hearts Preschool in Hooper during National Ag Week, reading “Seasons on the Farm” and introducing young students to the importance of agriculture through a fun and engaging story.
Shelley Keebler of the Johnson County Farm Bureau visited a local classroom during National Ag Week, sharing the book “Seasons on the Farm” with engaged students as part of the celebration.
Paula Petersen of the Lancaster County Farm Bureau visited a local classroom during National Ag Week, reading “Seasons on the Farm” and engaging students in learning about agriculture.
Dawn Kucera, a Nebraska Farm Bureau Board member from Madison County, visited Christ Lutheran School in Norfolk during National Ag Week, reading “Seasons on the Farm” and helping students learn more about agriculture through storytelling.
Kellie Kennedy of the Nemaha County Farm Bureau visited a local classroom during National Ag Week, reading “Seasons on the Farm” to students and sharing insights about agriculture in a fun and engaging way.
Duane Miller of the Thayer County Farm Bureau visited classrooms in Bruning and Davenport during National Ag Week, reading “Seasons on the Farm” and engaging students in learning about agriculture.
During National Ag Week, JeanetteAlthouse, retired Sutton Public School teacher, posed with a third-grade class thatused the teacher box activities from the Nebraska Farm Bureau Foundation. Thesethird graders also learned about baby chicks and chickens and snacked on Peeps BrandMarshmallow Candies.
