The value of farmland in the Kansas City Federal Reserve District remained largely unchanged in the fourth quarter of 2025 compared to 2024. Overall, in the Tenth District, non-irrigated land was off 1%, irrigated ground off 2%, and ranchland rose 3%. Non-irrigated ground in Nebraska declined 2%, irrigated ground was down 3%, and ranchland was 1% higher. Lenders in the District said, “sales volumes were generally stable compared with last year and overall demand was also similar.” Lenders also said farmers remained the primary buyers of land, but their share of declined to slightly less than 75%, the lowest level since 2011.
