Nebraska Farm Bureau Endorses Candidates for Nebraska Legislature

LINCOLN, NEB - Nebraska Farm Bureau (NEFB), the state’s largest general agriculture organization, has announced its endorsements of candidates seeking election to the Nebraska Legislature.
Endorsements made by the Nebraska Farm Bureau Political Action Committee (NEFB-PAC) are based on candidates’ positions on agriculture and rural issues, as well as recommendations from District Evaluation Committees composed of NEFB farmer and rancher members.
“We are pleased to announce our support for these candidates seeking election to the Nebraska Legislature,” said Katie Olson of Atkinson, chair of NEFB-PAC and NEFB first vice president. “Agriculture is a major driver of Nebraska’s economy. Farmers and ranchers play an essential role in producing our food. It is important that we elect leaders who understand and appreciate both.”
NEFB-PAC endorsed the following candidates in open legislative races:
District 6 — Patrick Leahy of Omaha
District 14 — Bill Bowes of La Vista
District 18 — Taylor Royal of Bennington
District 32 — Mark Schoenrock of Diller
NEFB-PAC endorsed the following incumbent legislators seeking reelection:
District 4 — R. Brad von Gillern of Elkhorn
District 12 — Merv Riepe of Ralston
District 34 — Loren Lippincott of Central City
District 36 — Rick Holdcroft of Bellevue
“We look forward to supporting this slate of candidates throughout their election efforts,” Olson said. “We are confident they have the ability to provide strong leadership and help guide Nebraska toward a prosperous future.”
