Nebraska Farm Bureau welcomed a full house of current and prospective school board members, along with interested citizens, to its School Board Budget and Bond Summit on June 16 in Grand Island. Attendees participated in discussions focused on understanding the school budgeting process and the steps involved in school bond elections. Featured speaker Bryce Wilson, finance officer with the Nebraska Department of Education, led an in-depth workshop on school finance, providing practical insights into budget development, taxpayer impacts, and bond procedures.
